Meet the Veterinary Surgeons
Sabine Boye MRCVS
Director
Sabine grew up in Zimbabwe and followed her parents into the veterinary profession, even studying at the same university in Germany. Sabine came to Rowcliffe House on work placement during her final year and decided to come back when she qualified in 2000.
She lives with her husband and son on their beef and sheep farm. Sabine enjoys open water swimming and can frequently be found speeding across Lake Ullswater.
Sarah Lester BVetMed CertSAS MRCVS
Veterinary Surgeon
Sarah graduated from The Royal Veterinary College, and has worked in small animal practice in Stevenage and Leeds. She completed a surgical residency at the University of Edinburgh for four years and has a strong interest in all surgical cases.
Sarah joined us here at Rowcliffe House in 2011 and works purely on the small animal side of the practice. In her spare time Sarah can be found cycling, running and playing in the outdoors.
Ashley Cotton BVSc MRCVS
Veterinary Surgeon
Ashley joined Rowcliffe House Vets in September 2016 after graduating from Bristol University. She has a particular interest in sheep medicine, flock health and small animal medicine.
In her spare time Ashley enjoys walking in the fells with her dogs Ruby and Norman.
Dani Blair MRCVS
Veterinary Surgeon
Dani originates from Orkney and joined us in September 2014 after graduating from Edinburgh University. Dani splits her time between both the farm and small animal sides of the practice. Dani and her husband run a local beef and sheep farm, where they live with their son James and their many dogs.
Veterinary Surgeon
Eleanor joined the Rowcliffe House team following her graduation from Liverpool University in 2021. During her Veterinary training Eleanor completed many training placements including two weeks in New Zealand.
Eleanor loves being outdoors and enjoys swimming and running and whilst at university she completed both a half marathon and full marathon in aid of mental health charities.
