Meet our Vets
Veterinary Surgeon / Director
Sabine was born and grew up in Zimbabwe (formerly Rhodesia). She followed her parents into the veterinary profession, even studying at the same university in Germany.
Sabine was so taken with Cumbria when she came to Rowcliffe on work placement during her final year that she decided to come back when she qualified.
She has been with Rowcliffe House since 2000.
Sarah graduated from The Royal Veterinary College, and has worked in small animal practice in Stevenage and Leeds.
She completed a surgical residency at the University of Edinburgh for four years and has a strong interest in all surgical cases.
Sarah joined us here at Rowcliffe House in 2011 and works purely on the small animal side of the practice.
In her spare time Sarah can be found cycling, running and playing in the outdoors.
Peter originates from Alloa in Clackmannanshire. He graduated from Edinburgh University and worked for a practice in Stirling before joining Rowcliffe House in 1966.
Initially Peter’s time was devoted to farm animal work, but he maintained a keen interest in the companion side of the practice and over the past twenty years has built up the small animal side of the business whilst still remaining involved in the farming side.
Peter took semi retirement from the partnership in 2008 and is now our Senior Clinician, consulting and operating 1 day each week.
Dani joined us as a new vet at Rowcliffe House in September 2014, after graduating from Edinburgh University.
She is originally from Orkney and enjoys all aspects of working in a mixed practice.
In her spare time, Dani enjoys playing netball and hockey.
Following her graduation from the University of Bristol Ashley joined the Rowcliffe House team in September 2016.
Whilst studying, Ashley gained additional experience from working on a sheep farm in Norfolk for several years and as a relief milker of a 600 cow Holstein herd near Bristol.
She has a particular interest in sheep medicine and small animal surgery.
Ashley enjoys walking in the fells with her dog Ruby.
Jason joined the Rowcliffe House team in July 2017 following his graduation from the University of Glasgow.
He originates from Armagh, Northern Ireland where his family has a large dairy farm. Jason has also had his own flock of sheep for over seven years.
In addition to his veterinary studies, Jason spent four weeks in California gaining experience in pregnancy diagnosis in dairy cattle and also gained experience in the artificial insemination of cows in South Dakota.
Jason enjoys working in mixed practice and in developing his skills in small animal surgery.
